Responsibility and Sustainability – The Keys to Alaskan Seafood

When somebody tells you he or she is a vegetarian you may assume that the decision was made on either a health or a moral position. Many types of meat – particularly a handful of varieties of red meat – are known to be harmful to your health when eaten in excess. Moreover, there are a number of moral issues that people grapple with when they decide to become a vegetarian, as people are against the slaughtering of animals for personal and commercial consumption. However, such blanket reasoning does not take some efforts that people from inside the culinary community take to reduce the harmful effects that eating meat can have. One such example of these types of endeavors is the work being done by the Wild Alaska Seafood Congress of Conscious Chefs.
