Initially when GMOs were introduced we were made to believe that GMO crops were being bred to produce crops with higher resistance to insect and bug invasion. This crops could survive harsh weather conditions, changing climatic condition, floods, water droughts and higher yield of the crops would eventually end starvation in the world. If only this was the real reason but it sounds too good to be true.
