Dad’s Day

It’s that time of year once again . The time when everyone scrambles to discover out what in the world they are going to do for father’s day again. I feel like I’ve done every present that I can squeeze out of my list . It’s really quite sad that those precious little pictures aren’t the greatest gift every any more. I want to list a few ideas that I’ve found when looking for gift ideas for this year’s battle. Here is what I have come up with. This is a relatively short list, but the little things usually mean much more to dear old dad.

1. Coffee Machine. If your pop is a coffee drinker, there are some really cool espresso and other specialty drink makers. These make great presents . You can find these at nearly every store that sells home appliances, including Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Starbucks, etc.

2. William Sonoma makes a really cool steak brander with monogrammed initials for those grilling fathers. This is a really fun and creative way to let dad personalize his steaks!  He already brags about them, and now he gets to leave his mark!

3. Personalized photo album. Put together some photos that are special to your father of you and him. Something that he can keep in his office and remember how lucky he is to have you for a son or daughter. :)

4. Starbucks personalized mug: These are a cool way to write Dad a personal note that he’ll remember every time he reaches for that morning coffee.

5. Write a poem or card remembering a special time with dad.

6. Give him a trip! Pay for a hotel or special dinner get away.

7.Throw a party to show him you love him.

8. The classic baked goods basket with his favorite desserts works well forever.

Hope this gave you some ideas. If not, keep looking and also look at College Station Houses  or Helotes Houses .
