Also known as toffee apples, candy apples are covered with a hard coating of sugar with various toppings to it. Famous in the USA and other western countries as a common dessert, they are easily available during autumn festivals e.g. Guy Fawkes Night, Halloween, among others, as it is then in the apple harvest season.
