Is it a good idea to buy a side of beef, and have it cut, in this economic environment? There is no easy answer, it sounds great because of the cost per pound of a side vis a vis the cost of cuts at your local market. The problem with buying sides is the variety of cuts you get, and the different cooking methods required.
