Did you know that kelp is an ingredient in many household foods! Foods like frozen foods, cakes, puddings, salad dressings, shampoos, and toothpastes contain alginate. Alginate is an apparently safe derivative of seaweed (kelp), and is used to maintains the desired texture in many products.

The addition of chlorine in drinking water was introduced in the early 1900′s to eradicate water-borne diseases like cholera and typhoid .Although chlorine is effective in eradicating these water-borne diseases it has produced a large number of other problems. In other words we got rid of one problem only to create others. The latest problem occurred towards the end of the 1990′s when there were several types of drugs found in drinking water.
