The Alaskan fisheries are well-known for a lot of reasons, but principally because they are one of the largest suppliers of quality seafood in the world and because the sustainability of stocks is so incredibly strong, helping to guarantee the continued supply of many of the world’s favorite seafood items (like Alaskan salmon, Alaskan scallops, Alaskan prawns, Alaskan cod, etc.).
