The pho dish seems rather out of place in the food trend of America, which veers more towards the convenient quick-service and drive-through food segment. Pho, quite the contrary, happens to be very hard to prepare as it literally takes hours just to prepare the broth and extract the flavor from beef or chicken bones and meat. Anyone trying to put together a healthy diet needs to control the sources of all the different food items that they consume on a regular basis. This is because not all food products are of the same quality: some come from pristine sources, whereas others are grown in contaminated environments and carry harmful ingredients in them that ought to be avoided at all cost. When it comes to seafood, a lot of products contain high levels of mercury or PCBs, in particular farmed fish and fish harvested in heavily polluted waters. Alaska’s fisheries, on the other hand, are without a doubt the best environmental choice in seafood and provide high quality seafood products that are free of all the harmful chemicals found in other samples.

Sadly, today most of the world’s oceans are clogged with debris and polluted with artificial chemicals and waste that not only put lots of species at risk of extinction but furthermore affect the quality of the meat of many of the remaining seafood species being harvested and served on dinner tables across the country and the planet.
