There are many words food manufacturers will use to convince you their product contains whole grains. The simple fact of the matter is; if it does not have the word WHOLE as the first word before each grain type then you are being sold a bill of goods!

There is something enchanting about the luxury of taking a meal that is traditionally only for certain occasions, and cooking it just any old time you wish. In fact, it is one of the pleasures of adulthood, that we can eat what we want when we want. Pumpkin pie in August, or pancakes for dinner, apple pie in February and mashed potatoes for breakfast. Seafood, in particular, is nearly always treated as a delicacy to be saved for rare moments; holidays, fancy dates, and beach vacations. While I agree that it is a delicacy, I am against its relegation to infrequent events. Seafood is a wonderful treat any time of year, for any reason – or for no reason at all.
