There are many dishes that the Italians have considered a staple of the centuries, one of the most pronounced however would have to be lamb. This fine meat is something that the Italians have enjoyed for what seems like forever, yet it is still considered meat that is within an acquired taste category. Whatever the taste for the lamb, thousands of Italians enjoy this meat each week as it is not only great as a main dish but it is relatively inexpensive as well.
